[attr="class","boxas"] Samuel "Sam" Alexandros Zander Personality Samuel believes in White Magic, however if threatened he will consider using black magic or some sort of elemental magic or telekinesis to ward the threat away. He hates harming people so this is a rare sight to see, him harming someone. This is what caused him to study magic. While he prefers to help others, if the chance came, he would help himself in time of need. He does care about others, and depending on how much, he will put them first if it was him or them. Samuel is fierce and protective of his tight-knit group, much like a lion, as his sign is Leo.Simply put, his strongest desire is to protect others. He believes in balance in the world, good can't exist without evil and white magic cant exist without black magic. He knows if a time were to come, he will need to decide what to do. Samuel is terrified of needles being used on him, which is very ironic for his field of study. Of course this causes jokes to be made along his peers in the medical school, he's warmed up enough to them that he knows they are messing around. He strongly dislikes the color red for some reason. He believes it's a color of hate, power, and evil and will often avoid wearing anything red. He gets extremely defensive when somebody makes a comment about his hair and build. He is patient, but if someone keeps pressing the wrong buttons, he will come back with a snarky remark. Going on with the wrong buttons, Samuel can hold a grudge for quite a while, and once that grudge is there, good luck getting it back. His trust is hard to earn but once that is set, you have a friend for life. He is competitive and will push himself and others to do their best. His biggest flaw? He's too compassionate, and someone can use that to his disadvantage. That, along with him being too timid to speak up, is what caused a very rocky relationship he had. He is easily manipulated and incredibly stubborn, good luck telling him to do something if he strongly feels the need to defy it. He will fight along his friends and for his friends when the time comes. He can be rather ambitious, thinking big, dreaming big; all that kind of ideals. He himself can be a paradox at times, doubting himself, but at the same time pushing himself to do better. Him being extremely shy, the fact that people can abuse his emotions, and that he can be easily pushed around are other flaws that he has. He is pretty decent at reading other's emotions and can empathize with others pretty well. History Born on July 27th 1993, Samuel was born in Perth Australia. He had the normal childhood life of playing with his brother on warm sunny days, or playing in the surf when it was just too hot to play outside without cooling down. He was a carefree child in his eyes, seeing the positive in everything. He was closer to his father than his mother, and still very much is today. In his eyes, Samuel believed he was never good enough for his mother and that started the spiraling path the two are faced with today. This escalated quickly and with time, he grew distant from here. At a young age, around 14 or so, he started his studies in magic, neither wanting to get involved with demons, like his mother did, nor being born with the magic powers. While his mother was the typical witch who would use black magic, hexes, curses, and all the other dark arts, Samuel became fascinated with the positive side of magic and studied virtuously in those areas, learning charms and white magic. At age 15, his family moved to the states and became residents. Not even a year after this, the divorce happened between his parents and as much as he wanted to go with his father, his mother won the custody of him and his brother. He decided to grow his hair out at this age, and the next few years he started to grow his hair long. High school was rough, because with his feminine form and long hair, he earned the nicknames Samantha and Princess( by the other aides in his class because of his timid personality and not really wanting to help them out because they never got along well). Despite these hardships he stayed true to his ideal of White Magic.
