Bela wants to be free, truly free. She had a bad childhood, and though things seemed to get better, she knew it wasn't permanent. So she grew distrustful and distant. Manipulative.

Now she can tell a lie, convince someone of anything, and feel no remorse. She could have been a serial killer but instead chose to be a thief. She prides herself on her skill level.

Bela is afraid of the hellhounds that will come for her one day soon. She's afraid of being alone, though she already is. She doesn't know how to be close to another person.

She admires hunters but doesn't like coming face-to-face with them. Though they're not honorable people, they're always so snooty with her. Acting superior. It infuriates her.



When she was 14, Bela unwittingly made a deal with a crossroads demon. Her parents were abusive and neglectful, and a little girl came to her while she was swinging. The girl promised she'd make the bad things go away, and all she wanted in return was a little something 10 years from now.

Bela saw no other option but to accept. When she was old enough, she came into the supernatural world. She learned that monsters are real and she began to search for the truth of the little girl she'd met.

It took her years to figure out that she'd sold her soul. By then it was too late. Having already made herself famous in the thief world, she used her talents to search for things that could protect her. Weapons and spells and anything else she could find.

In fact, she's still searching to this day.
